Stability in Structure

In this series of work I explore the theme of strength through the inspirational lens of ancient architecture. I use the forms and structure of ancient architecture to convey the idea of strength throughout my work. The materials and shapes that were used in the building of ancient structures were made to withstand the infinite. These structures have withstood the test of time, through the strength of materials and forms used to construct them. I feel inspired by the forms of these structures because they convey strength and stability. I carefully choose my materials for their weight, form, and robustness to convey the idea of strength and grounding in my pieces.
